ABOUT
Pasha Grill has become one of Dayton's most popular dining destinations representing Turkish cuisine. Its unique appeal is a result of a menu selection of traditional Turkish recipes with contemporary and eclectic influences from Mediterranean, Middle-Eastern and even Oriental styles. Every item on the menu is prepared in-house using only the freshest meat, fish, locally grown vegetables and distinct selection of herbs and spices.
Emre Bektas, owner and chef, has a great fascination with the cuisine he creates. The selection and his experience stems from the wonderful food he grew up cooking and consuming in his homeland of Turkey, which has centuries of cultural heritage and offers amazing and satisfying food. When Chef Bektas was growing up, he developed a passion for cooking from his hospitable family, where he was always actively participating in weekly cookouts with his large family and many friends.
As an engineer by profession, Emre lived in New York prior to coming to Dayton and Pasha Grill. His life as an engineer was “okay”, but he was missing the passion yearned for that he had learned from his family and friends back in Turkey. The cogwheel life, long commutes and little family time wore him thin and he tired of his profession. It was around this time that Emre was offered the partnership at Pasha Grill, which gave him a chance to fulfill his passion.
Dayton and Pasha Grill has become the Chef’s second home. Being in the kitchen, cooking for his friends and family is one of the things he loves to do...even if it means coming in on his day off to show everyone a good experience. His sense of hospitality of the highest form has been translated into a trait that everyone at Pasha Grill is proud of.
Emre’s vision of the perfect restaurant has extended far beyond the actual menu. Along with co-owners Alex and Ismail, the atmosphere and décor have been created to enhance the food experience, providing a genuine feeling of warmth and comfort. They succeeded by creating dining areas that are as lively as they are sophisticated, while still offering a sense of intimacy with curtained booths and private banquet rooms. A highly trained and dedicated wait staff is another key to high standards of performance, especially in providing diners with professional service and personal attention.
Pasha Grill is ultimately your place for the classical Turkish tradition of hospitality and delicacies with a new world twist.
